He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hermann Heinze and Gerda Heinze-Watermann; his stepfather Dr. Carl Watermann; and his sister Barbara Beiersdorf of Berlin, Germany.. He is survived by: his children, John Heinze (BC) and Karen Cummings (ON); and his grandchildren, Nelson, Mackenzie Cummings (ON), Karsten, Jarod Heinze (BC) and Miranda Heinze (Australia).
