He was predeceased by: his spouse Marg Reid; his parents, Albert Reid and Leah Reid; and his son Bob Reid. He is survived by: his son Tim Reid (Karen); his grandchildren, Carly Reid (Kevin), Kyle Reid (Kendra), Tyler Reid and Alyssa Scalzo (Jeffrey); and his great grandchild Norah Reid.
