In loving memory of Lois Kayaras (Belleville, Ontario), who departed this world on March 21, 2026 at the age of 93. Lois leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Burns and Jessie May Burns; her husband John Nicholas Kayaras; her son-in-law Kenneth Merkley; and her siblings, Douglas, James, Florence, Robert, Stewart and Wendell.
She is survived by: her children, Robert "Bob" Richardson (Lucy), Margaret Merkley (Chris Reed), Janet Cairns (Alexander "Sandy") and Sunday Kayaras (Ely Sbrozzi). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Humane Society of Hastings and Prince Edward and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
