He was predeceased by: his parent Harry Smith; his spouse Stella Smith (Morton); his sons, Charles Smith and Harry Smith; and his siblings, Helen Casey (late John), Charles Smith, Robert Smith (late Gladys), George Smith (late Ruth), Elizabeth Nettleton (late Ted), Tom Smith (late Alice), Howard Smith (late Leila) and Harry Smith (late Jean).
He is survived by: his parent Florence Smith (Munnings); his children, Pamela Murphy (Terry) and David Smith (Heather); his grandchildren, Jamie Murphy (Hilary), Kathryn Di Donato (Michael) and Ian Smith (Megan Loney) of Ottawa; his great grandchildren, Jack Murphy, Sam Murphy, Molly Donato and Charlie Rose Di Donato; his sibling Betty Smith of Belleville; and his sibling-in-law Vera Morton of Belleville.
