She was predeceased by: her husband Verdon Patrick Nelson; and her siblings, Joan, Dorothy and Andrew. She is survived by: her siblings, Agnes and Robina; her daughters, Norine, Sandra (late Richard) and Carol (Joseph); her grandchildren, Tyler, Angeline, Alex and Jessica; and her great grandchildren, Kazeha-Lee, Austin, Emma, Kingsley and Kolten.

In lieu of flowers, her family invites donations to be made to the Hospice Prince Edward.
