She was predeceased by: her husbands, Gary Alvin Blackburn and Ralph Vincent Forrester; her sister Lois Bruckshaw; her parents, Emily M. Hughes and Captain Bert Hughes; and her niece Lois Marie McConkey.

She is survived by: her stepchildren, Pat (Steve Morgan), Eric, Brenda Martin (Sara Jane), Grant (Cindy), Cindy (Dan Spencer) and Norm (Linda); her nieces, Cheryl (Ike Westervelt), Brenda (George Beauchamp) and Mary (Jamie DeMille); and her nephew John Harrington (Teresa).
