He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donna, Elwood Carman, Helen and Frank O'Brien. He is survived by: his sons, Gregory and Patrick; his parents, Blaine O'Brien and Katherine Whalen; and his siblings, Amanda Socquet (Jason) and Matthew O'Brien. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews and many friends.
