He was predeceased by: his parents, Egan Schmidt and Elizabeth Schmidt. He is survived by: his brothers, Walter of Mississagua and Erich (Lenore) of British Columbia; and his children, Richard, Karen, Ashley and Lindsey. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
