He was predeceased by: his parent Terry Wheeler; and his brother Christopher Wheeler. He is survived by: his parent Hazel Wheeler; his spouse Christine Wheeler; his children, Monica Wheeler-Kargus (Rodney) and Terry Wheeler; and his siblings, Debbie Caul (Dale), Theresa Wheeler (David), Hope Jones (Dale), Michael Wheeler (Shirley), Brian Wheeler, AnneMarie Golden (Reg) and Tim Wheeler (Annie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and or to the Heart Stroke Foundation.
