Raymond Craber Obituary

Raymond George Craber October 16, 1950 - September 2, 2026

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Raymond (Ray) George Craber at Belleville General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Eileen Craber. Born in London, England, Ray emigrated to Canada at the age of seven. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Karen; his loving daughter, Sheri; his loving son, Jeffrey (Arlene); his grandchildren, Ryan (Mina), Matthew, Megan and Justine (Grant); and his great-grandchildren, Kade, Kiyah and Kiara. He is also survived by Karen's children, Katherine, Michelle (Mike) and Denise (Dave), and their children, Halie (Luke), Aaron, Jacob and Sophia. Ray spent most of his career in the grocery business. He enjoyed playing golf, competitive hockey and baseball. He also enjoyed watching the Blue Jays, the Boston Bruins and the Toronto Raptors. Ray was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and spent five years as part of the branch's Colour Guard. Many thanks to the EMTs and fire department personnel for their efforts to get Ray to the hospital, as well as the emergency and Palliative Care Unit staff for helping him remain comfortable.
