He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Kerwin and Lorna Kerwin; the mother of his children Arley Kerwin; his son-in-law Larry Tripp; and his brother-in-law David Carr-Braint.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kerwin; his children, Beverley Tripp (Bob) and Paul Kerwin; his grandchildren, Jamie Lee Jonah (Joshua) and Ashley Tripp; his great grandchildren, Jesse (Janet), Alyxandra and Finnegan; his siblings, David Kerwin (Erika), Judy Borgatti (Frank) and Stephen Kerwin; his stepchildren, Kim Crossley and Melissa Shearer (George); his stepgrandchildren, Christian, Brandon, Katie and Emily; his brothers-in-law, Larry (Marg), Joel (Marj) and Scott Carr-Braint (Susan); and his close friend Paul Skelding. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
