He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rivers and Cecilia Rivers; and his sister Carol Price (late Al). He is survived by: his wife Kay (Chatwood); his sons, Steve Cannons (Rachel) of Tweed, Darren Rivers (Carrie) of Sarnia, Mark Cannons (Melanie) of Stirling, Jason Rivers (Christina) of Prince Edward County and Adam Rivers (Meredith) of Kingston; his grandchildren, Jordon (Raven), Sara, Mitch (Amanda), Nate (Kayla), Brianne, Kensi, Bryden and Lena; his great grandchildren, Castin, Sawyer and Everett; and his siblings, Shirley Craig (late Calvin) of Amherstview, Jean Smith of Toronto, Joan McLuskie (late Bob) of Toronto, Lou Rivers (Darlene) of Belleville, Theresa Mason (Jim) of Whitby and Al Rivers (Angie) of Toronto. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (399 Victoria Ave, Belleville, ON K8N2E7). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (399 Victoria Ave, Belleville, ON K8N2E7). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St Carthagh's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery (154 Hungerford Rd, Tweed, ON K0K3J0).
