The family announces the passing of William Hibbard (Belleville, Ontario) on September 29, 2026. William, born on June 26, 1948, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Hibbard and Blanche Hibbard; and his sister Trudy Foley (Peter). He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hibbard; his daughter Sandra "Sandi" Hibbard-Ramsay; his son-in-law John Ramsay; his grandchildren, Brianna Ramsay, Brock Ramsay and Mokey; his sister Bonnie Edwards (Denis); and his siblings-in-law, Jeannie McQuaid (Bob), Norma Baker (Grant), Suzy Sprout (Stuart), Robert Lloyd (Esther), Peter Lloyd (Mary Ann) and Charles "Chuck" Lloyd (Terri). He is also survived by extended family, including many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Belleville Shrine Club (160 Catharine St, Belleville, ON K8P1M8).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in his memory to the local hospital foundation of your choice.
