He was predeceased by: his spouse Doris Empey; his parents, Murnie Empey and Eleanor Empey (Begg); and his siblings, Erma and Cyril.
He is survived by: his children, Carol (Clair Donnelly) and Gail (William Hasiuk); his grandchildren, Craig (Chantal) and Lori (Wayne); and also Droppo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital or St. Luke's-Knox Presbyterian Church Finch would be appreciated by by the family.
