With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ed Vanderveen of Blenheim, Ontario, whose life came to an end on September 23, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving behind cherished memories. As we bid Ed farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ed is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his wife Greta Vanderveen (VanderPol); his children, Carol (Patrick Meyer) and David (Katrina Vanderveen); and his grandchildren, Logan, Lauren Meyer, Carter Meyer, Kate Vanderveen and Jack Vanderveen.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home (60 Stanley St, Blenheim, ON N0P1A0). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church (286 Chatham St S, Blenheim, ON N0P1A0).
