She was predeceased by: her husband Garnet McQuarrie; her parents, George Wardell and Gladys Wardell (Balmer); and her siblings, Velma Campbell, Betty Brownlee, Melvin, Bill and George Wardell.

She is survived by: her children, Cindy Ford (Bill), Leslie McQuarrie (Karen) and Gordon McQuarrie; her grandchildren, William Ford Jr. (Jennie), Maegan Bogaert (Chad) and Tyler McQuarrie (Dara); and her sisters, Nona Fraser, Marilyn Hackett and Carolyn Christener. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Those wishing to remember Jean with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Blenheim Legion Poppy Fund.
