He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria; his siblings, Ernie, Sam and Irene; his son-in-law John; his grandson Benjamin Joseph; and his parents, Jack Tunks and May Tunks.

He is survived by: his children, Tom (Monica), Terry (Ronda), Tammy, Tim (Brenda) and Howard (Christine); his grandchildren, Leslie (Tom), Seth (Patty), Holly (Jason), Alec (Sheila), Stephen, Shelsie (Nicholas), James, Tamara (Mike), Shasta, Carissa, Maggie and AJ; his sister Margaret; his close friend Diane Thompson; and his pets, Callie and Chaz.
