She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wilson and Alma Wilson; her husband Edward Buchanan; and her siblings, Charles Wilson, Jean Poehlman (Keith) and Joan Foster (Richard).

She is survived by: her children, Tom Buchanan (Lisa Vanderheyde) of Chatham, Doug Buchanan of Blenheim and Susan Freeman (Dave) of Tecumseh; her grandchildren, Brad Buchanan (Lindy), Erin Mogg (Paul Henry), Marissa Schepens (Al), Brett Buchanan (Jacquie) and Ryan Freeman (Jennifer); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Wilson and George Buchanan (Donna). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
