He was predeceased by : his wife Marilyn Johnston; and his parents, Arthur Johnston and Jean Johnston. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Amanda, Jeff Brown, Kelly Johnston, James, Kayla Muehmer (Charlotte), Mallory, Peter Mundy (Penny), Mark, Nicole Muehmer (Elsie), Brianna Downie, Kyle Kolpin, Phillip Downie and Brooke Quinn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or Four Counties Health Services Foundation would be appreciated.
