He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his son Timothy; and his siblings, Yvonne, June, Roy'Dougall' and Earl'Bill'.

He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Williamson (Wayne); his cousin Jim McGavin (Susan); his godson Kyle Balloch (Lynn); and his friend Sandra Small.
