He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stone and Joan Stone. He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his brother Nicholas; his nephews, Keith and Michael Stone; his in-laws, Liz and John Curnow; his siblings-in-law, Louise Curnow and Andy Groom; his nephew Nick Curnow (Tara); his great-nieces, Chloe and Miranda; and his great-nephew Leo.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rod's memory may be made to the Hurvitz Brain Sciences Program at Sunnybrook Foundation.
