He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Whiteye and Lila Whiteye (Hopkins); his wife Verna Whiteye (Stonefish); and his siblings, Ben, Gerald, Vera, Marilyn and Patricia (John).
He is survived by: his children, Charlene Mathewson (Sandy), Donald Whiteye Jr. (Sonya), Rhonda Whiteye and Jolene Whiteye; his grandchildren, Joseph, Lauren (Cody), Deni (Jesse), Hunter, Garrett, Liam and Max; his great grandchildren, Elly and Velo; and his siblings, Terrance (Nadine), Vaughn (Vera), Jamie (Mary), Jeannette, Wendy and Gardenia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home (211 Elm St W, Bothwell, ON N0P1C0). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
