With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cornelia Vandergaast-Abma (Bowmanville, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cornelia left this world on December 28, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Cornelia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Cornelia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Jelle Abma. She is survived by: her children, Wendy (Henry), Grace (Reg), Gelf (Hilda), John (Rita), Nancy (Bob) and Corrinne (Don); and her sisters, Aukje and Renskje. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, and cherished her family.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church (130 Scugog St, Bowmanville, ON L1C3J7).
