She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Fred Owens; and her children, Laureen Timmers (Jim) of Williams Point, Randy Owens (Kim) of Bowmanville, Gary Owens of Bowmanville and Glenn Owens (Julie) of Bowmanville. She was also cherished by her siblings, her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church, the Christian Children's Fund of Canada, or to the Cancer Society.
