He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ted Bird and Helen (Howard). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Doug Bird (Faye), Linda Thornton (late Lance) and Patty Battle (Marc); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Rachel, Amy, Ashley (Mike), Candice and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Bryce, Emma, Gabriel, Kamryn, Sophia and Belle; his sister-in-law Marv Bird; and his nephews, Ed and Phil.
