It is with sadness that the passing of Donald John Thur (Bracebridge, Ontario) is shared. Donald, born on January 2, 1941, passed away on September 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Donald will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Donald by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Donald is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Donald’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his family, David (Julie), Bonnie (Mike), Kelli and Brian (Megan); and his grandchildren, Colby (Diana-Marie), Glen (Sophie), Kurt, Emmalie, Caleb and Tasin.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rotary Center (131 Wellington St, Bracebridge, ON P1L1C4).
