She was predeceased by: her spouse Hemmo Engelage; and her siblings, Greta and Jacob. She is survived by: her daughter Juanita Hellinga (Charlie); her granddaughters, Renee and Rebecca; and her extended family Schutter.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Skwarchuk Funeral Home (30 Simcoe Rd, Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON L3Z2A9). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In Catharina's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County or Ontario SPCA.
