He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Maria; his children, Lucy Balugas (John), Danny Viveiros (Paula), Natalie Oliveira (Roger), Robert Viveiros and Elizabeth Arruda (John); his siblings, Maria (late Francisco), Joe (Lucia), Manuel (Fatima) and Gil; and his caregiver Joanne Matte. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, Godsons, and Goddaughters.

In Daniel's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Simcoe County.
