He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rose Marie; his children, Karen Watt (Ken), Deborah Grant (Robert) and Blair Severn (Marlene Bonigut-Severn); his grandchildren, Sarah (Jason), Katie (Tom), Gordon (Agnes), Seamus and Sinead (Keejoon); his great grandchildren, Ella, Marcus, Nathan, Gordon and Aleena; and his siblings, Heidi (Mark) and Richard.

A celebration of Douglas' life will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. In Douglas' memory, donations may be made to the OSPCA.
