He was predeceased by: his siblings, Arlindo, Francisco, José Avelino and Armando. He is survived by: his spouse São; his child Nando Araujo (Betty); and his siblings, Orlando, Carlos and Fatima.
In Fernando's memory, donations may be made to the ACE Unit (Acute Care of the Elderly Unit) at Southlake Health, Newmarket or to the Cochlear Implant Unit at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.
