He was predeceased by: his sister Pat; and his brother-in-law Doug Lamb. He is survived by: his wife Valda; his children, Shannon (Terry) and Curtis (Kristina); his grandchildren, Maximus and Aemilia; his siblings, Kim Muir (Bettyann) and Marty Muir (Gill); and his siblings-in-law, Alex Gerrard (late Fay) and Gord Gerrard (Coreen).
