With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Verna Isabelle Sawyer (Bradford, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Joe; her children, Tom Sawyer (Lia) and Janet Henderson (Kevin); her grandchildren, Cameron, Owen, Kennedy, Scott and Andrew; her siblings, Shirley Zobolotny (Richard), John Brownlee and Lois Brownlee (Bruce Coburn); and her siblings-in-law, Evaleen Sawyer, Francis Shaw (Doug), Anne Hurdman (Nick), Jean Keffer (Rob) and Mary Lou Sawyer. She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skwarchuk Funeral Home (30 Simcoe Rd, Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON L3Z2A9). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In Verna's memory, donations may be made to Gilford United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or Diabetes Canada.
