He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Payer and Annette Payer; his sister Muguette McCuaig (late Claude); and his brother-in-law Larry Herbert (Barb). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his child Shawn (Andrew) of Stittsville; his sister Ghislaine Perneel (Fred) of Glasgow Station; and his siblings-in-law, Francis Herbert (Debbie), Dennis Herbert and Malita Herbert.
