He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Purdy and Candace Purdy; his son Darrell; his siblings, Walter Purdy, William Purdy and May Hayward; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Willson, Joe Hayward, Graeme Dougherty, Louise Purdy and Doreen Purdy.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce, Earl, Karen Purdy and James Bath; and his sisters, Margaret Willson and Mabel Dougherty. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
