It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertie Davey (Brampton, Ontario), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Ethel May; his siblings, Daphne, Jim and William; his children, Katherine and Todd; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Liam and Grace; and also May.

“Bert was one of a kind. We shared many laughs at the Yacht Club over the years. He had an extraordinary wit and we particularly loved sparring over the relative merits of sailing vs. power boating. I don’t think Bert ever raised his sails when he went out on the Lake and I often accused him of being a defacto power boater. We face timed the night of his passing. He was in obvious distress but he still managed to make me smile with his signature sarcasm. RIP Bert”
