He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughters, Debbie Webster (Ken) and Karen Furness (Mario); his grandchildren, Greg Webster (Danielle), Kaitlyn Hedstrom (Bobby), Michael Furness and Brian Furness; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Shannon and Hannah; his sister Helen Muirhead (Bruce); and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Ruth (Blaine) and Jack Russell. He is also survived by his nephews, niece, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
