He was predeceased by: his brothers, James Macrae and Derek Macrae. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Macrae; his sister Susan Mills (David) of Surrey England; his children, Derek Macae (Caroline Bourassa), Ian Macrae (Beth) and Michelle Macrae-Fenech (Sylvain); and his grandchildren, Erin, Devon, Ethan and Simon.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
