He was predeceased by: his parents, Otalia and Albert; and his brother Imants. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Dzintra Zarins; his niece Julia Mounsteven (Russell); his daughters, Karla and Holly; his nephew Peter Oettlin (Anita Bitter); his cousin Ivan Darzins; his friend Wilmer Schock; and also Jaxson.
