He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven DeBruin and Geertje Okkema; his siblings, Janny (Sip), Willem and Steven; and his siblings-in-law, Inie, Aukje, Derk and Leslie.
He is survived by: his wife Maria (Hovius) of Bruin; his child Kim Marian (Dave); his siblings, Annie (Klaas) and Lammie (Rinus); and his siblings-in-law, Willy, Agathe, Dora Wim, Annie and Adriaan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
