He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Payne and Earl Payne; his significant other Cathy Payne (Layton); his children, Jan Payne (Peter Welfare), Julie Vilchez (Jose Vilchez) and Jody Weatherbee (Rob Weatherbee); his grandchildren, Sam Vilchez, Alyssa Vilchez, Jacob Welfare, Maddie Welfare, Sophia Vilchez, Killian Welfare, Max Welfare, Ben Weatherbee and Abby Weatherbee; and his siblings, Mary Lynn Core (Paul Core), Sheila Hepton (Ken Hepton), Robert Payne, Nancy Price (Gord Price), Ken Payne (late Lynda Payne), Doug Payne (late Gayle Payne) and Don Payne (Sue Payne).
