He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria; his parents, John Sr. Ostrowski and Mary Ostrowski (Kwallek) of Melita Manitoba; his sisters, Rosemary and Kay; and his parents-in-law, Angelo and Winnifred Venier.

He is survived by: his children, Shannon Russell (Jeff), Mark Ostrowski, Elizabeth Tozer (Trevor) and Mike Ostrowski (Monica); his grandchildren, Christine (Curtis), Cody, Kenedi, Gavin, Addison and Eva; his great grandchildren, Aiden and Mae; and his brother Bryan Ostrowski (Carolyn).
