He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelis Jozefus Simons and Maria Josephina Dankers; and his siblings, Andre (Riet), Kees (Tiny), Anneke (late Toon Leermakers), Harrie (Tiny), Dineke (late Martin van Dal), Piet (Trees) and Ria.
He is survived by: his wife Elly; his children, Joe (Karen), Mary (Pete Wise), Andy (Amy), Tony (Caroline), Ann (Edwin Alphonse), Theresa (Jamie Lafond), Erin (Gregory Gaboo) and Cathy (Al Wolosinovsky); his grandchildren, Chris (Megan), Jennifer (Seamus), Grace, Matthew (Katie), Thomas, Kristina, Natasha (Julian), Dylan, Zachary, Fraser, Kyle (Vivi), Petra, Dorian and Isadore; and his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Fiona, Quinn, Lachlan, Luke, Will, Nicholas, Owen, Annalise, Kiera and Cadence. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
