It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Tavares of Brampton, Ontario, who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maria Riquinha and Antonio Riquinha; his siblings, Conceição, Maria and Natalia; his wife Adriana; his children, Nancy (Marco), Lucy (Joe), Joshua (Amanda) and Claire (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Bianca, Francesco, Vincenzo, Presley, Thomas, Philip and Adrian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Ward Funeral Home - Brampton Chapel (52 Main St S, Brampton, ON L6W2C5). A Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (101 Malta Ave., Brampton, ON L6Y4C8). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Assumption Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga, ON L5T1N4).
