She was predeceased by: her son Wayne Bergsma; and her sibling Siem Hoogvorst of Holland. She is survived by: her husband Walter; her children, Anita Bergsma, Yolanda Chester (John De Haas) and Mark Bergsma (Lorraine Cowan); her grandchildren, Zack (Nicole), Nathan, Matthew, Brandon (Alicia), Jason, Fiona, Kate and Liam; and her sibling Han Hoogvorst.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
