He is survived by: his daughter Maria Dolores Borges; his grandchildren, Marilia (Frank), Tania (Steve), Sandra (Marco), Andrew (Stephanie) and Martim; his great grandchildren, Tatiana, Amália, Isabella, Sophia, Sarah, Martina, Mayson, Matteo, Alessia, Selena and Martim Jr.; and his brothers, Francisco Simoes and Jose Avelino Borges.
