He was predeceased by: his parents, George Martins and Ida Martins. He is survived by: his wife Hilda; his children, Trevor (Maggie), Barbara Dias (Clive) and Pamela Trower (John); his grandson Stuart (Erica); his children, Andrew (Diana), Kelly (Ryan), Stephen (Sabrina), Mark (Ashlee) and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Noah, Logan, Dylan, Jasmine, Aaliyah, Mya, Jordan, Riley, Ryder, Liam and Leia; and his siblings, Roland (Delia) of Goa, Frank (Celine) of Boston, Evelyn of Goa and Ben (Zillah) of Melbourne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested to make donations to Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
