He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Kimberley Smith; his children, Michael (Natalie), Amanda (Steve), Matthew and Meagan (Donovan); his grandchildren, Alex, Evan, Ava, Alannah, Pierce and Kennedy; his siblings, Bill, Jim, Ed, Jeff, Steve, Patricia and Lorraine; and his parents, Ernestine and Garfield. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Martin's memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
