He is survived by: his parents, Frank Spanu and Iris Spanu Koster; his sisters, Kathy Spanu White and April Koster Welwood; and his daughter Rochelle. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the same location.

Though Alzheimer's slowly took pieces of him, it never diminished the love he gave or the impact he made.
