He is survived by: his close friend Diane Tolstoy; his children, Errin Janes, Sasha Tolstoy (Natasha), Jolene Coles (Braden), Kim Janes (Mike), Anton Tolstoy and Liane Janes (Jon); his grandchildren, Sarah, Caitlyn, Naomi, Stella and Nathan; his father Stanley Sr.; his stepmother Lois; his siblings, Joanna, Danny (Lucie), Kimberlye (David), Dawn (Jim), Jim (Janice), Gloria, Duane (Cindy) and Cindy; and his close friend Dave "Bart" Bartnik (Stan).

In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Music Therapy Fund would be appreciated by the family.
