He was predeceased by: his wife Dolly Geldart; his parents, Walter and Francis; and his siblings, Delbert, Roland, Eric and Delena.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Leigh-Anne Marquis (Andrew), Allison Bisram (Faith), Jamie Charles, Christopher Charles (Mike), Kevin Charles (Nicole), Jennifer Turner-Wiggins (Tom) and Brian Turner (Tara); his great grandchildren, Moechia, Zachary, Nathan, Bella, Isaac and Lily; and his sister Joan.
